Dr Emma Smith is an experienced GP with more than 20 years in General Practice, with a particular interest in women’s health, menopause, contraception and sexual and reproductive health. She works with teenagers and women across all ages.
Originally trained in the UK, Emma holds additional qualifications in Obstetrics & Gynaecology and Sexual & Reproductive Healthcare, and has undertaken further training in menopause care. She is experienced in IUD and contraceptive implant insertion and removal, as well as supporting women through perimenopause and menopause.
Emma takes a thoughtful and practical approach to care, recognising that women’s health needs often change considerably through different stages of life. She enjoys taking the time to understand each woman’s symptoms, concerns and health priorities, and working together to develop an individualised, evidence-based plan.
Her areas of interest include perimenopause and menopause, contraception, sexual and reproductive health, eating disorder care, preventative health and healthy ageing.
Outside of medicine, Emma enjoys travelling, spending time at the beach, running and playing netball, as well as keeping up with her family and their many hobbies and sports.
